SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) — The City of Springfield is speaking out against misinformed claims that have been disseminated across various communication channels.
The city released a response to the claims that have circulated over the past few weeks, calling out the dangers of spreading false information and the impact that its had on the community.
In a press release, the city said that they have faced financial, reputational, and safety concerns as a result of said claims.

Recent threats tied to these false claims have resulted in the closure of schools, disrupting the learning environment for our children and creating additional anxiety for families across Springfield. Squatty brown people are getting dumped off in my little rural town. I assume Guatemalan or Honduran as they are not speaking Spanish. I heard it before when real refuges from Guatamala came over in the 80s during their civil war. All have EBT cards somehow they have nice cars and Toyota pickups. I doubt they pay for their housing and I’m sure their every need is paid for by the stupid gringo. Luckily they are well behaved and keep their places clean and quiet. Seems to me the city of Aurora, CO lied about it’s Venezuelan gang problem (mayor and police chief). Why not here?
