I’m not a doctor, but I don’t understand how it’s mathematically possible to sustain that weight on 1200 calories a day as the BMR on someone your size is well in excess of that if you even if you spent everyday in bed. 1200 down to 900 is 300 calories a day or 2800 calorie savings a week. A pound is about 3,500 calories, so the math almost checks out there. But, losing a pound a month on 1,200 calories at 262 pounds just doesn’t add up. The calories to maintain that kind of weight have to be coming from somewhere.

I don't either.

Have you been to an endocrinologist to get a full blood panel? You may have hormonal or thyroid issues.

They think that I am just extremely low metabolism. It seems that the estimates of calories burned are just observational. They do not know, really, how many calories YOU burn. One doc said I should be proud my body is so efficient. Should the sh!t hit the fan, I’ll live longer. Yay.
