I spent some of my youth growing up in Southeast Asia, I’ve spent a lot of time gunkholing in and around sh*tty little islands of the Western Pacific and Caribbean, there’s no doubt in my mind that the third worlders eat what we call pets. Opportunistic grazing, it’s a fact folks and it doesn’t surprise me. I seem to recall California had a problem with Asian immigrants cruising ponds and other waterways for waterfowl. Where my mom was growing up close to an Indian Reservation dog was on the menu. The locals all noticed that there was a lot of dogs running around in the fall over at the rez... in the spring there weren’t so many dogs running around. The chinese eat most any critter and isects too. Dog is on the menu in many countries. So are gaters, rats, snake... pets are easy targets.
Modern Americans are sheltered.
“Modern Americans are sheltered.”
And modern Americans should keep their pets sheltered and safe indoors. The lifespan for outdoor pets is about half as long as for sheltered pets.
The threats used to be coyotes and raccoons. Now it’s heathens from s#itholes.
Sounds like something they do in San Francisco....
