We just returned from Franklin TN on a business trip. I could live there anyday. Beautiful and such nice people. And with IN N OUT...it's getting even better!

Wow, invasion of the eastern US begins. Five Guys is going to have to deploy defensive troops.

Look forward to trying In-N-Out burgers.

Interesting. Hubby will be happy — if they open facilities farther east than Nashville at some point in time. He’s a CA boy, and when we lived there he loved going to In In-N-Out. I never really got it. Although I did like the fact that there were Scripture references printed on the bottom of their cups and another place (can’t recall where just now).

I think what’s makes IN N OUT so good and different is a few things. I don’t need a big quarter or third pound slab of meat in my burger. Of course everything is fresh and that sauce. The sauce is the boss. Quality quality quality and taste and a small patty is all I need.

As for opening locations, since they don’t freeze the meat, their operation allows for a radius of locations of up to 500 miles from the meat processing center. They had to build a new meat processing center here in Dallas Ft. Worth since that’s over 500 miles from Southern California. So they did.

They are obviously building a new meat processing center (or contracting out until they do) near or in Nashville so i guess pretty much anywhere within 500 miles of Nashville could be open for a location. The meat is transported in refridgerated trucks but without freezing.....that’s limited to 500 miles. Hopefully they put one near you.

No wokeness about IN N OUT. She’s a Christian who does amazing work around the world with charities, including the poor in Africa. She’s one of the youngest female billionaires in the country, she’s been through hell and back, the whole IN N OUT Story is a story of triumph and tragedy. The circumstances of her being the sole heir are almost bizarre including a jet crash, her own father, etc.

The book about IN N OUT is a great read.....a New York Times best seller list book written a few years ago.

I’ve been living in NW TN in a very small town for going on three years. It may not be quite as beautiful and “citified” as Nashville, but the people around are easily the nicest I’ve known anywhere in my 65 years.

Walter, I love you, but sooner or later, you're going to have to face the fact you're a goddamn moron.

Right. Friends at our church in Thousand Oaks knew the family well. Strong Christians. While the food doesn’t float my boat, the business model does. Kids we knew worked there and they were treated like gold, and they treated the customers the same. If you run your business following the Golden Rule, that’s a wonderful thing.

“The sauce is the boss.”

I always demand “no sauce”. Don’t like the slime. And that’s on any burger at any outlet.

Yes, we traveled a lot this year on Business. From Seattle to Salt Lake, California, Arizona, Oregon, Vegas ......etc.

We live in Texas and Southern Hospitality is just so real. It’s so obvious. The difference. Liberalism makes people angry, bitter, moody and seems they lack gratitude to God or anything else.

The South......so different. We loved Franklin TN too. And Brentwood. So beautiful and the town...historic beauty. The people.......kind and welcoming.

And the kids never get the order wrong. Here in Texas the lines at IN N OUT are always long, always busy, we couldn’t even get a seat inside one a few weeks ago.

They talk Whattaburger a lot here but secretly.....they go to IN N OUT. She is blessed in her business.

Five guys will lose the battle with In N Out. Not even close. I just hope they open a location in North Alabama. Whalburgers didn’t last 2 years here. We have Whataburger, but they suck.

Yes, they’re beautiful towns ... and also the very leftist of areas in Tennessee. Belle Meade, Franklin, Brentwood ... and Nashville is turning into your typical leftist-run city. We lived in Hendersonville a couple years ago and on our trips to Nashville there were vagrants and junkies slumped in doorways, vagrants begging at intersections. All of this is now allowed.

Fries tray, which I have seen. I understand they also have a verse on their coffee cup (not personally seen).

Very good standard burgers. Everything is fresh. Fresh potatoes for French fries. Freshly cut onions. I like their milk shakes. Lots of customers. A relatively long wait.
However, if you can cook, you can make as good or better burger, with fresh ingredients, on your own instead of waiting 10-15 minutes in your car or at the counter for your meal.
If there is no line(very rare), they’re better than most fast food burgers. IMHO

I grew up a bit over a mile from the company’s original Baldwin Park location. There were other stores around in the 60s but not many and growth was very slow. Trips from the east coast back to California always included a pilgrimage to In-N-Out. I just might live to see a store go up within driving distance of suburban Maryland.
