Interesting that an “international law firm” was hired. I sense something even bigger is going to come out from this.

I thought it was odd to hire a law firm to for the investigation. I would think they would have hired Pinkerton or some other detective agency. The Perkins Coie web site lists security as a service but that appears to be geared toward privacy and data issues. As it was the lender that hired them I suspect that they are looking for some legal avenue to recoup their losses. The lender probably realizes that foreclosure on an apartment complex infested and run by an international criminal gang won't get their money back.

Yes. My first thought would be to hire a credible private investigator, not an “international law firm.” I find it weird they hired a law firm. Do big law firms have their own investigative teams to discover evidence?
