Not "our" community cat, whose welcoming residence is across our street in this densely populated (about 23k per sq. mile) "low income" American city, but who adamantly insists on living outdoors, where she (who has given birth to 5 litters) loves to catch mice (and eat most of them) neighbors as us provide her ample food.

The dairy farm I used to work at had many feral cats which helped keep the rat population down.
