This is the story of Violet Jessop, an Irish woman who survived not one, not two, but THREE of the most catastrophic ship disasters of the 20th century.

After suffering through a childhood plagued with a serious illness, the ever-lucky Violet went on to survive the crash and near-sinking of RMS Olympic in 1911, the sinking of the Britannic in 1916... oh, and I almost forgot to mention, the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912.

Cynic that I am, I am guessing that one of these subs knocked the railing over and off its perch.

That statuette is in incredibl3 condition for the amount of time it has been at depth and exposed to the ocean currents.

“Divers” my toches, they’re submariners maybe, but ain’t nobody “diving” that deep, not even with an atmospheric diving suit.

It should be retrieved. We take it for granted that expeditions to the Titanic will continue but that my not always be the case. Wars or harsh economic downtrends will likely render the expeditions a thing of the past. Bes to bring this thing of beauty home.

They had better do it soon. Iron eating organisms are rapidly turning the ship into a pile of rust.
