The homer ref. spotted the ball short of the first down on the last drive by N.IL forcing them to kick the go ahead field goal thereby giving ND time to try and kick the winning field goal.

That official knew exactly where he needed to be for N.IL to be short and unless the play resulted in a clear first down, N.IL was going to be short.

….and they failed to start the clock after that play which would have forced ND to use their last time out.

Ostensibly Catholic Notre Dame has been cursed ever since they invited the pro abortion Obama to give their commencement and bestowed on this baby killer a Doctor of Laws degree. They have not won any critical games or a national championship in anything.
