Northern Illinois stunned No. 5 Notre Dame 16-14 with a late field goal by Kanon Woodill on Saturday.
Woodill kicked a 36-yard field goal with 31 seconds left as Notre Dame couldn’t stop the Huskies after a second interception by Riley Leonard. It's Northern Illinois' first win ever against a team ranked in the top 10 of the AP Top 25.

NIU is based in Dekalb. The state wanted to put the school in Rockford, a larger city, but the city fathers and local business magnates were afraid the presence of a University would drive up the costs of the local labor pool. Rockford has consistently made the wrong decision for its economic well-being on a very consistent basis.
Such a bad spot. Embarrassing. ND should never have had the opportunity to kick that last time.
It's strictly lingerie football from now on!
How I miss that man.
Tech should be ashamed of themselves for that game last week, they got lucky.
Go Cougars! LOL!
We shall see!
PSU almost got spanked.
Colorado opening series: 3 and out
Nebraska opening series: 7 plays/49 yards = TD
Auburn lost to Cal.
Who will win the Pac 2: Washington State or Oregon State?
MICHIGAN DESTROYED!
Notre Dame Destroyed!
It’s The Apocalypse!!!!
Amen
And South Carolina, as bad as they looked last week, spanked Kentucky.
Did any of the players kneel today while the National Anthem was being played? Or were they wearing keffiyeh?
In 1989, my daughter was at WVU when they played Notre Dame
in the Fiesta Bowl. The Notre Dame players taunted the
WVU players throughout the game.
They were so out of control that
Lou Holtz came onto the field constantly to yell at his players. No warnings or penalties were given to the Notre Dame players by the refs. It was sad to see. Their fans were rude also.
I never liked them since that day.

Probably the Cougs, but depends on if the Beavs quarterback can open up some offense. Beaver defense is tough.

My alma mater Huskies have not used the portal (at all, iirc)...lots of seniors. there’s lots of Chicago talent, but Dekalb is no garden spot
