A vinyl version of Dean Martin’s ‘Greatest Hits’ is coming later this year.

Dean Martin’s Greatest Hits is coming to vinyl for the first time on November 1st.

Available in standard black and exclusive limited-edition color, the 13-track vinyl includes six new digital ATMOS mixes of some of Martin’s greatest hits. The songs with new mixes are “Memories Are Made Of This,” “Sway (Quien Sera),” “That’s Amore,” “Volare (Nel Blu Di Pinto Di Blu),” “Ain’t That A Kick In The Head,” and “You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You.”

A testament to Martin’s continued sway in popular culture, multiple songs featured on the Greatest Hits album have recently earned new certifications from the RIAA. “Ain’t That A Kick In The Head” and “That’s Amore” are now both Platinum certified, while “Volare (Nel Blu Di Pinto Di Blu),” “You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You,” and “Sway (Quien Sera)” are now all certified Gold. This year, Martin is on track to surpass his existing record of 1 billion yearly streams.

A holiday-season legend, Martin’s track “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” has also managed to continually chart even decades after his death, reaching No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in December 2023. In August, his classic 2013 Christmas compilation Dino’s Christmas was also re-released in CD and LP format. Beyond “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” it featured time-honored favorites like “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Brahms’ Lullaby.”

Martin, who died in 1998, received countless accolades during his lengthy career, including 12 Emmy wins (he hosted The Dean Martin Show on NBC from 1965 to 1974, and pioneered the celebrity roast), three Hollywood Walk of Fame stars, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award.

yeah :). Carl sure had the face for it.

and Ann Margret—she sort of epitomized womanhood in the 70’s. like a dancer, but a good singer too. like a super talented show girl. i hope she didn’t get chewed up by hollywierd.

Yes. Dean had the voice and what a beautiful performer he was. The drinking, all an act but lets face it Sinatra was no slouch. Great singer and both superb entertainers.I still listen to these guys on Siriusly Sinatra and miss that whole era. What great performances they put on. Siriusly Sinatra played a little of one of their nightclub acts just a little while ago, Sammy was in there too, claiming as they made jokes ‘these are my only friend, they have no rhythm’ or something to that effect.

Wish I could’ve seen them in person and taken my mother with me. She adored Dean Martin. We watched all his tv shows together. Remember the Golddiggers? A fun time for those girls.

He’s on my video list of “comfort tunes” in a scene from Rio Bravo, jamming with Rick Nelson and Walter Brennan. What a luscious voice he had!

I don’t know about this ATMOS stuff. I’ve never heard it (only heard of it) but I’ve heard most of its predecessors and while they can initially sound striking they get real old real fast. The last type of recording I’d imagine you would need to “enhance” is the stuff recorded by the Pop singers of his generation. The sound they got to vinyl between the 50s and the 70s was huge. The original hardware they used is still highly sought after and there is an entire industry dedicated to updated copies . Now I’m going to have to listen to an ATMOS recording. I can’t imagine the spatial improvement on a Dino recording beyond room reverb .

Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett. None of them were perfect.

Not so sure they lived a great life I could deal with it.

His version of Marshmallow World is hands-down the best version of that song…nothing else is close. He sounds about 2 Scotch’s in.
