You are welcome. And I only consider myself an amateur historian, and my knowledge is largely derivative, based on real research done by others. So I am as fallible in drawing conclusions as anyone else.

But I do consider myself well read on historical matters, much better than average, but not as well read as others. Lately, I have been dictating audiobooks for Librivox (done six already) on out of copyright books, and have been concentrating mostly on the Revolutionary War era. I am currently dictating “John Hancock-The Picturesque Patriot” written back in 1912.

I am more a “history buff” than historian, that is for sure. And when I draw conclusions on limited data...I can be just as wrong as others.

I think for me, it may have boiled down to some look on his face that was incongruous with who he was painted to be.

My wife paints and is into art, which means...to a degree, I am too. And when I look at a painting and something doesn’t fit, like the perspective is off, or the facial features in a portrait are not right, it just sticks out at me, and sometimes it takes a while for me to pin it down.

Same thing with Cosby for me, I think.

I don't know if it's bullshit or not. And, neither do you.

Of course, our government would try to exaggerate to advance its agenda. Pointing that out doesn't make this guy or Tucker sympathetic to the Nazis or Hitler.

And, we all know the Zeepers (no doubt including you) and neocons are as big a liars as leftists and Democrats.

And, again, what is hypocritical is a jackass like you attacking Tucker while supporting a war the Biden regime got us involved us where we have been working with and funding neo-Nazis.

Yes, Hitler and the Nazis hated Jews.

I didn't hear Cooper or Tucker deny that and there is no reason to believe either would.

That doesn't necessarily mean that Cooper was making an invalid point or that he and Tucker are sympathetic to the Nazis or Hitler.

It shouldn't matter because murdering civilians is wrong regardless of the reason.

Using this to smear Tucker, however, is an example of propaganda. Tucker is being attacked because he's been telling truths about the war in Ukraine and Deep State that the Biden regime and Deep State doens't want out.

So those trains loaded with Jews for the camps in Poland was just to make things easier for them.

Cooper was addressing Polish Jews and the reason the Nazis killed them.

I have no idea if he's right or not.

It shouldn't matter because murder civilians FOR ANY REASON is wrong and criminal.

Making the point that murders may have not solely been about a hatred of Jews doesn't make him or Tucker sympathetic to Hitler or the Nazis.

The point being made was that our government exaggerates to push an agenda.

ooper said that the Nazis killed the Jews because they had too many POWs and lacked the resources to take care of them, so many of them died. This is false, and a whitewash of evil.

No, it isn't.

That premise assumes that murdering civilians out of expediency isn't as bad as murder motivated by anti-Semitism.

It's only in our twisted, woke world that one motive for murder is worse than another.

Murder is wrong, period. And, certainly didn't see Cooper or Tucker deny that.

The point Cooper was making and Tucker agrred with is how our government exaggerates to create a narrative and push an agenda. It has done the repeatedly over the years, more so in recent years.

What whitewashes evil is making one type of murder worse than another. Making murder committed out of anti-Semitism or racial hatred worse than murdering for money or to get rid of your spouse, for example.

All acts of murder should be punishable by death. We should have ZERO tolerance for ANY act of murder.

Making one form of murder worse than another most certainly feeds a political agenda.

There tens of thousands of non-Jews murdered at concentration camps at Auschwitz.

Are deaths any less of an atrocity? That has been the end result.

Elevating one act of murder and hatred over another is dangerous. Because that practice we live a country where false accusations of racism or anti-Semitism can destroy the lives of those that are white or conservative while black racism and Muslim anti-Semitism is ignored or encouraged.

Trump is repeatedly smeared as Hitler by the same people that had no problem funding, arming and training neo-Nazis in Ukraine.

Creating a narrative where one form of hatred or murder is worse than another has been one of the primary political tools since WW II.

Ok fine. But what does this have to do with his main point, which was the Left using Hitler to bash their opponents with for years?

The German invasion of Russia included the Einsatzgruppen.

Einsatzgruppen were mobile SS death squads organized and run by Heinreich Himmler and Reinhard Heydrich. Senior Nazi party officials directly accountable to Hitler. The Einsatzgruppen had operated as early as the Polish invasion of 1939.

They weren’t killing out of some kind of starvation necessity, to use the rationale that you proffer. This was just mass murder that originated in Nazi ideology.

There were four Einsatzgruppen units operating in Barbarossa and they are estimated to have killed 1.5 million people. Not soldiers, they were non-combatants, after the front line had moved on.

The fact that “historian” Cooper never mentions or addresses it means that he’s either too stupid to be taken seriously or he’s purposely ignoring it because it’s a glaring example of the evil that was a basic part of Nazism.

When my dad arrived in North Africa with Operation Torch his first assignment was to process German POWs. Part of that meant culling out SS from the regular German soldiers, a task made easier by the distinctive SS arm tattoo. The US Army in 1942 knew that there was something particularly wrong with the SS. Maybe our youthful historian ought to find out why.

The Ns set aside special groups to target the civilians they wanted to eliminate.

This was pure and simple genocide and what the Ns explicitly stated they would do, and what they documented themselves doing.

Do you really think that the reason the N’s killed the Jews was expediency, not anti-Semitism?

Do you really believe the death toll to be just THOUSANDS???

Is that what is taught in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russian federation?

Poland and Germany did not have “decent relations” during the inter-bellum years.

There was a customs war from 1925-1934 and the Chief of the German Army Hans von Seeckt stated: “Poland’s existence is intolerable and incompatible with the essential conditions of Germany’s life. Poland must go and will go - as a result of her internal weakness and of action by Russia - with our aid.” (Sword and Swastika by Telford Taylor, London 1953).

The Germans never accepted that the chunks of Poland they took in 1776-1791 could become independent

you say “Poland took a hard line” - that’s the same BS argument that is being made against Ukraine today.

The Germans did not see Poland’s existence as legitimate and wanted to absorb her.

As to “After the war, Britain and France abandoned Poland to Soviet occupations”

Quite frankly - what could the Brits and French have done even IF they had the political AND social will to do so?

The Soviets were already in most of what became East Germany, so the UK+French would need to battle a massive Soviet army back to even read the Polish borders. That was flatly impossible without American support and even WITH American support it would be nearly impossible

well, conducting an interview is fine, but the interviewer should ask more questions.

Like - when Cooper diminished the Holocaust by claiming that “millions of prisoners of war” had “ended up dead” in concentration camps, suggesting the Nazis did not have genocidal aims against Jews but were simply “unprepared” for the war, among other false assertions. then Tucker should have asked "but what about the Einsatzgruppen?" and "didn't Hitler state the same in the Mein Kampf?" and "the final solution was already talked about and discussed in 1939 - what is your take on that?"

articipation in this European war was NOT a moral imperative, no matter how many historians say it was.
If we hadn't participated, the Soviets would have taken all of mainland Europe. And you are forgetting that the Nazis declared war on the US. Now go read Hitler's two books

Cooper isn't a Holocaust denier. He doesn't deny the Nazis killed thousands. He simply said the motive was expediency (because of a lack of planning on how to hold prisoners) rather than anti-Semitism.
That's Holocuast Revisionism and lie. Hitler always wanted to exterminate the Jews. He was clear in his two books
