I read an article on Gateway Pundit about biden resigning so I wondered what would happen if he did.
It's no stretch. Just his health alone could mandate it, but what would kamala do campaign wise? She would become active president right now, but would that affect her current campaign? Maybe no big changed in that. A new VP would pop up, but what else?

Resign from what? Are we in limbo until Jan 20th? Can’t see either one of them answering the call. He’s clueless and her picture can be found under incompotent.

I expect Biden to resign at the end of October as the DNC will be trying to get another quick boost for Harris. Seeing how the initial bump faded about two weeks after Biden’s withdrawal, this has to be timed very close to the election. This is their October Surprise.

i am not focused on the particulars of the process, but i would expect:
(1) walz to be nominated as VP— i am guessing that the senate would need to confirm;
(2) a timing which would be very fortuitious to the DS would be to have biden resign just before the first trump-kamala debate— that way, kamala can simply use the presidency as an excuse not to have any debates with trump before the election
(3) kamala ascending to the presidency would give her at least a one month nominal bump in the polls— it would also remove some if not all of the lingering legitimacy issues

Speaker Johnson becomes President, since camel toe is not an NBC.

If Harris loses, Biden will step down some time after the election to make Harris the first woman President as his legacy. It will also avoid having to present when Trump is sworn in. Biden will pardon his family before stepping down.
If Harris wins, Biden could step down if it appears the election was stolen. Harris as the sitting President would be in a stronger position to stay in power.
Regardless of when Biden steps down, there will be no new VP, which requires Congressional approval. Speaker Johnson is next in line of succession. A new VP will be sworn in on Jan 20.
Nobody wants to make the problem of succession too easy for now, but there is no good pathway for the Democrat (Socialist) party.
If before the election:
Joe resigns, VP Harris becomes President, but with NO VP, which would be selected from a vote by the House, as Nelson Rockefeller became VP after Gerald Ford assumed the Presidency, or Ford himself after Spiro Agnew was forced to resign. Tim Walz is by no means the automatic selection for the post.
Joe dies, same effect. Tim Walz STILL does nave a lock on the job.
If after the election and Trump wins:
Joe dies or resigns, VP Harris still becomes President until January 20th, 2025, with effectively no Vice President. Should she resign or die, Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House, becomes Acting President.
Should the Harris/Walz team win, Walz would be elevated to VP and will be the acting VP until formally sworn in on January 20th, 2025.
Do not expect any mercy or reconciliation.
Nature is taking its course with Biden, his slack-jaw shuffling gate is more pronounced over the past ten days. Looks like Kam will replace him in the next 30 days or so.
Kam is dumb but Walz is dangerous to the Democratic Society.

Resign on January 18th and give your VP a full day as president.

He won’t, he may drop dead but he won’t resign. That would put a huge black mark on his already feeble legacy.

The stage is already set - Biden was tossed out because he is mentally incompetent. Anyone listening to him recently (despite two weeks of leisure on the beach while no-one ran the nation) can deny his decline is accelerating...
If Biden is forced to resign and/or becomes physically incapacitated, Kamunist Kamala will be installed at POTUS - she will then use her office to interfere with as many election operations as possible - AND - we know that historically, incumbents have some electoral advantage...
Throw in the “sympathy” factor and the Dems will play up “she’s already president - see!!!”
We are at a crossroads as never before - The Democrat platform is 100% contrary to the US Constitution and they are unashamed of it - they want to invent a truckload of new “rights”, while deleting those enumerated in the Constitution. They want unprecedented Gestapo-like power - and will stoop to any level necessary. They are the literal demonstration of the exact things they accuse Conservatives of doing/wanting to do.
And in all honesty - I wouldn’t put it past the to engineer a national catastrophe bigger than 9-11...
I thought order of succession would bring VP to President, and the Speaker of the House becomes VP???
