"Which powers the body and brain."

Not good for diabetics unfortunately as it only turns into sugar.

Without sugar diabetics would die. Good sugar is the main source of energy for the body and brain

Yes not good for diabetics, and not good for those who will be diabetics if they keep eating Cheerios, or any of the cereals that are pushed by big food.

That said I love Cheerios, Raisin Bran, wheat Flakes, but I don’t eat them because of blood sugar issues.

You think you’d get fat if you ate cheerios instead of eggs?

I don’t think so.

Is this the hippy health food forum?

Cheerios are fine.

So are eggs.

I mix it up. Some mornings eggs, bacon, bread and cheese. Other mornings oatmeal with applesauce, walnuts, sunflower seeds, dices prunes and dried cherries. Third option is baked hash brown patties and poached eggs. Low sodium V8 and either air roasted coffee with chocolate milk or high quality black tea of twenty varieties.

That’s daft.

Before insulin was available, recipes for diabetics minimized sugar.

How do Inuits survive on fish, seal meat, and blubber without sugar?

And all the other inhabitants of the extreme north?

This is like a test question where you have to re-order a list to the correct order. So, from healthiest to worst...

Ground beef
Egg fried in butter
Cheddar cheese
Chocolate covered almonds
Watermelon
Pineapple
Canned peaches
Nonfat chocolate frozen yogurt
Grape juice
Orange juice w/calcium
Sweet potato fries
Sweet potato chips
Cheerios
Lucky charms

Ground beef and eggs have zero carbs
Cheddar cheese might have one gram of carbs
Chocolate covered almonds - the almonds, at least, are healthy
Watermelon - mostly water, unprocessed
Pineapple - also unprocessed
Canned peaches, unprocessed, but in sugar syrup
Nonfat chocolate frozen yogurt - not sure
Grape juice and Orange juice w/calcium - the fruits are
destroyed, hence they’re essentially pure sugar
Sweet potato fries and Sweet potato chips - all carbs
Cheerios and Lucky charms - half carbs, half sugar - horrific ‘food’

I knew a guy that told me a friend of his grew up with his parents always saying “My house, my rules.” As an adult he had them stay at his house on occasion. Breakfast was M&Ms in a bowl of milk. “Be sure you eat the green ones. They’re good for you.”

Totally true! Also keep in mind that there are plenty of people who profit from sick Americans...and they’re everywhere, it’s a HUGE business.

Evolution. Go on that diet and and see.

OTOH, Inuits have a a lifespan 15 years less than the average Canadian.

You’re kidding right?
Tell me you’re kidding...
Why would ANYONE eat that poison processed garbage.

Egg, 7.5g protein, zero sugar
Five eggs, nearly 40g protein and still no sugar.
Protein feeds muscles.
Sugar creates fat.
How many tablespoons of sugar in that one bowl of cereal?
How much protein?
Simple math.

If your “food” has an ingredients label, it isn’t food at all, it’s processed poison. Might as well be soylent green. There is zero nutritional value in consuming highly refined sugary “foods” with gmo processed bleached grains and these garbage foods are causing a morbid obesity epidemic.

I train others in the gym and the single most important factor holding people back from healthy gains in muscle and loss of fat is garbage diets. You CANNOT out work a bad diet. most lie about what they consume, including alcohol and while they deceive themselves they can’t figure out where the problem is, but they aren’t fooling the trainer, they’re simply fooling themselves.

I know this because I know their BMR, their daily job duties and what they’re willing to admit about diet. Diet is always the deception area when the math reveals the facts.

A guy works a desk job, tells me what he eats and drunks every day, I know his bmr, itwhat he’s burning in the gym and the math simply doesn’t add up. It is always the garbage diet he didn’t disclose. A good trainer can figure this out in no time.

Buy the food on the outside walls of the store, where the meat, dairy and fresh vegetables are located. Everything in the middle, other that frozen fruit and vegetables is garbage; pure poison.

How’s the cheery-ohs diet working for you?

Cherios also contain trisodium phosphate (TSP) which is said to be used in other foods too, so we probably don't know how much per day any one person consumes.

https://www.medicinenet.com/is_trisodium_phosphate_in_food_bad_for_you/article.htm

"Trisodium phosphate (TSP) is an inorganic phosphate additive that is widely found in processed foods.

Although small amounts of TSP may not cause health problems, eating foods high in phosphate additives on a daily basis can be harmful to your health. This is especially a concern if you have underlying conditions such as kidney disease.

Phosphate overload has been associated with kidney problems, intestinal inflammation, poor bone density, heart disease, and even early mortality.

Learn about the potential health risks of consuming foods high in TSP."

Bet their recommendation has to do with that despicable poison, Carbon.

And don’t even get me started on Methane! Chickens fart, cheerios don’t.

Haven’t you heard that the Erf has a fever??!?

It does if you eat enough of them.

Additionally, it’s a waste of time.

Both of these statements are half-truths. If you eat enough of any substance including drinking too much water - it is unhealthy.

Many, many years ago I was a champion bicycle racer; I rode around 300 miles a week for most of the year. I received assistance from people more knowledgeable than myself to make sure that I was getting enough nutrients and calories from my diet to support my very calorie intensive lifestyle. The vast majority of the calories that I consumed were from carbohydrates.

This was not a waste of time. It was a challenge to maintain my weight... the primary requirement of most of the foods that I ate were that they were easy to digest so that they rapidly replenished the glycogen stored in my muscles and liver. Foods that bogged my system down by clogging up my digestive system with difficult to digest substances were a problem. People have different needs and circumstances. These days few people are as active as I was when I was a youngster. I eat far less than I used to, and I am an “old timer”, so it is more important to make good choices. But I still love things like cakes, pies, ice cream and Sees Candy in moderation. These have little nutritional value but they are wonderful.
