Egg showers have become common on social media, but a Brooklyn woman has gone a step further by throwing her eggs a birthday party every year. Lauren Martinez was well prepared for a birthday party in her backyard in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She set out a tray of deviled eggs next to syringes filled with confetti; there were Eggo waffles, egg salad sandwiches, a quiche and onion dip with roe. There was also a bag of mini chocolate eggs and a tray of cupcakes, each decorated with white and yellow frosting in the shape of a fried egg.
Right before the event was supposed to start, her friend showed up with a homemade cake — “brat” green — with two fried eggs made of fondant on top.
If you’re sensing a theme, that’s because this wasn’t just any birthday celebration: It was the third birthday party for Ms. Martinez’s frozen eggs. On the invitation, which was dispatched to more than 40 friends, she called it her “cool mom bday party.”

Eggs are murder?

A woman’s frozen eggs alone are simply unfertilized cells. It is when they are fertilized by a male sperm (also, by itself, just a cell) that they become a human being. The New York Times is trying to further confuse already stupid people by equating the two.
This is stupid and doesn’t make sense.
She harvested eggs and now says that it is their birthday?
If she did this for fertilized embryos it would still be bizarre, but would make more sense.
Does she say Happy Birthday to the eggs in the dairy section at the grocery?
Some people are just stupid.

Well, had they not have been “harvested” 100% would have died in her monthly periods. Just sayin’.

this is so off the mark it’s like throwing a birthday party for your pet chicken by serving a bucket of Col Sanders and chicken salad sandwiches
