Good observation... Slaves are essential and with 8 billion people currently living on earth, we now have an unlimited supply of them.

Correction, at least according to the left:

Slaves are essential and with 8 billion people currently living on earth, we ARE an unlimited supply of them.

That’s kinda the take that Robert Schoch has taken.

“Ancient Apocalypse” by Graham Handcock on Netflix proposes that mankind was far more advanced in the past than modern historians suggests.

He also asks if there were advanced civilizations what would remain except megalithic structures?

His arguments are pretty convincing.

160 ton rock. That’s 320,000 pounds. Dragged over a wooden trackway? Imagine the friction of stone weighing that much without wheels on wood. What wood on what surface could support that much weight without being crushed?

Assuming they had some uncrushable wood, how did they pull it along? With slaves? People?

Utter BS!

It’s apparent that it isn’t BS.

Yeah, because advanced civilizations would put up megaliths. Not.

Four keywords (SIDA, Schoch, Robert Schoch, Graham Hancock), sorted, duplicates out:

Any first year engineering student in statics class knows how to move heave object with little effort.

Slaves.

Quite correct about the spurts of civilization. Most likely they were taken out by pandemics or an unlucky asteroid hit. It really is no mystery how to move large stones. Fulcrums and levers accomplish amazing things. But wipe out that knowledge with a flu and it all resets again.

I am an official “engineer.” But I am nothing more than some guy who knows how to build things.

“What wood on what surface could support that much weight without being crushed?”

Years ago I did a job in a dry dock, working underneath the USS Constellation aircraft carrier. It really surprised me to see this huge ship supported by stacks of wood timbers! I thought they would have developed some “modern” system to support it.

Of course dragging it anywhere would be an entirely different feat.

Yup.
It has taken ten thousand years to go from hunter gather to walking on the moon.
Humans are supposed to have existed for at least a half a million years which would mean about 50 rise and fall of civilizations🤔

It wouldn’t be their primary construction method but they might for government offices ect.

Saying they could do it doesn’t mean that was their ONLY construction method. However it would be the only one to survive thousands of years.

See the Netflix special “Ancient Apocalypse” for examples.

I’m sure you have a better explanation for unexplainable megalithic structures throughout the world that we couldn’t make today. Either that or you’re totally not interested which makes me wonder why the heck you posted to this...
