Prayers for Florida residents.
I'm 1.2 miles from the Florida border and eight miles in from the Atlantic Ocean.
We're only expecting TS winds and a storm surge under 3 feet. Big deal we're high up at 12 ft above mean high tide.

We are ok here.
Had Noah’s flood for two days. Still windy here.
Hope everyone else ok.
RE: Check in when you can.
Boy, it’s been a day. After the squeegee party at 0100 to get some of the water out of the house last night, we got a couple hours sleep. It turns out that effort was well worth it. We have almost all the water up today. One more room and rug to go. Rugs are the worst. They’re soooo heavy when filled with water.
Worst news is I think it killed 90% of my garden. The mangoes and citrus may survive. My peanut and bean crop is gone. The dormant strawberries are certainly dead. Bananas are rags, we’ll see what happens. I think all the papaya may be dead, but they also got the crap beat out of them in the wind, so not sure if they’ll survive. Everything sat in salt water for about 4-5 hours. I’ll just have to start over.
