Those comments by Miller don’t make him appear to be on the President’s side at all. We’ve been debating the possibility that Pence is a WH because Miller thanked him profusely for his help in “the most complicated military operation in history”.

I've given that speech of Miller's so much thought. Just going by surface appearances, it would seem that the "most complex military operation in history" could ONLY be to save the country, or to destroy it. (Unless Miller was simply playing a part. He did smile at Pence, but Pence looked very very uncomfortable when he did so.).
