The shabby-looking “soldier” on the left is a New York Army National Guard E-4 Specialist (by the patch on his arm and the rank on his chest), name tape reads “Marshall”.
The one on the right appears to be a Marine (MARPAT camo uniform, the way the sleeves are rolled and the “U.S. Marines” nametape.) However, the camo pattern looks odd (maybe just faded), and it looks like he is wearing a Corpsman badge on left collar. Also no Fleet Marine Force pin.

Individual on the left appears to be Air Force, unit unknown. (maybe 174th MDG - NY Air National Guard) https://www.aviatorgear.com/images/product/large/35393.jpg
Individual on the right - nametag - “Zozan-Bi”, rank appears to be Specialist (E-4), current unit unknown. Patch on right shoulder (below the flag) indicates wartime service with the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in Afghanistan.

I remember that phrase... about “standing” versus knees.
It used to be the plain Rule of men, particularly our Founding Fathers, as well as many of our own.
Those commanding words have historically been raised to be well remembered, placed often in carved frames, in gilded lettering.
Now, half the country equates any public talk of “standing”, even in legal community assembly, on one’s free speech rights and including peaceful protest, to be suspect— a “crime against the state”, or some such twaddle, too divisive, and better to be confined to 5 syllable arguments with one’s neighbor.
But above all, to be nicely confined to no more than the cruel labor that is expended toward the exhausting work of casting one’s ballot.🙄

Posse Comitatus? My understanding is that proof of illegal drug trafficking is the only exception that allows US Military to act on US soil. And that requires a signed approval by the State’s governor (Unless you are former Texas Governor, Ann Richards!)

Incorrect. There are also differences between Title 10 and 32 forces deployment. Military support for drug ops is well known and I did it for 6 years as Title 10.
Also, Posse Comitatus concerns the use of military in civilian law enforcement not in doing their regular jobs inside the country. Go Guard, much more latitude. The ROE nowadays sucks though.
