Give me a gallon of Avon's Skin So Soft. It'll last years. Is this the airborne covid shot everyone's been talkin' about? Have to find a way to cook mosquitoes.

Going back to CDC's roots!
The CDC hasn't done anything useful since the 1940s ... back when they gassed neighborhoods with DDT. :)
Oops! The CDC removed their page on that. That would be in the last two years since I first drafted that post.

I had West Nile ten years ago. Flu-like symptoms.
To: Libloather
The decision comes on the heels of an onslaught of mosquito-borne illnesses throughout the US, including West Nile Virus, which hospitalized White House Covid doctor Anthony Fauci this month... I knew there was a reason Fauci pretended to have West Nile virus, to whip up a frenzy to vaccinate and fumigate against it.
And if he really did have it, he got it from visiting one of his virus gain-of-function laboratories.

DDT trucks spraying our neighborhoods was regularly done in Houston in the 1950s and I can’t remember if they were still doing it in the early 60s.
They were fog trucks and the kids loved chasing the truck and being invisible in the ‘smoke”.

Yup, that works great. I don’t trust the government to “spray down the state” with unknown chemicals

When I lived in Central Florida many years ago, at dusk the fogging trucks were always out and about. Never caused me any problems.

Unprecedented? They used to spray for skeeters all the time when I was a kid in Massachusetts.

I recall getting heavily gassed in my basement bedroom one summer night as my window-well window was open. That had to be 1970 or later as I didn’t move downstairs until I was at least 15.
FWIW it gave me a heck of a headache.

I remember the foggers from the ‘60s in Kansas. The C-130s spraying at Homestead in the ‘80s were much worse.

See the kids trying to survive? That one kid has grabbed a shovel and is trying to dig a foxhole and the other is so dazed already that he is running in the wrong direction to escape.

I remember being in the town of Vale, OR in 1974 when they were spraying from airplanes. Don’t know if it was DDT or some other pesticide.

Were the C-130s spraying DDT or something else?
