Because it has no meaning. “They tried to kill me”. OK what does that have to do with domestic policy? Foreign policy? Governmental style? Cabinet appointments? At the very least a candidate has to say pointless gobbledygook about the actual job they intend to do. “They tried to kill me” isn’t a campaign.
He didn’t win in 2016 by being a policy wonk or by his stellar cabinet picks.
He won by saying Hillary was a deep state crook who he was going to lock up.
He won by showing everyone how corrupt and evil the government insiders were and saying he would drain the swap.
He won by pointing out the evils and the complicity of BOTH the entrenched Republicans and the Democrats.
And now that the people who he has been shining a light on for 8 years tried to kill him, he ignores it? WTF? He is doing everything he can to lose this race.
