This Unity party concept is interesting. This could impact the wishy-washy independent voters. They may look at Trump differently if he has united Democrat and GOP politicians.

to add to the Mayor Pete example, making an appearance at the DNC to endorse Harris was actively serving Interior Sec’ty Haaland, who obviously expected to keep her job if Harris won. Which some would say, could also be a violation of the same law the Dems would like to turn against Trump. But its rules for Dems and rules for Reps....
Multiple national polls have Harris ahead but I haven’t seen the swing state polls.

My exact response. Trump doesn’t work well with others. Follow the leader is the center of his strategy. Kennedy may be a man of deep insight and willingness to make concessions towards solving the problem. If he is,this country may find a way back to to freedom under God.

I’ve watched Trump in action for near 50 years. I read his book. I know who and what he is. The lame stream media ignores his big heart, love for people and compassion. But, Trump is a tireless, shameless promoter. He’s also a master at controlling the media. He LOVES that. And he wants his own plans used for breaking big news. Maybe, using RFK, Jr was Trump’s plan? For RFK’s sake, I hope so. But, I rather doubt it.
I agree he’s a tireless promoter - I’ll even accept the word “shameless” in that context.
But you said it would anger him that RFK Jr. announced his plans endorse Trump rather than letting Trump break the news. That makes him sound a lot worse than a “tireless, shameless promoter” - it makes him sound petty, out-of -control, childish and vindictive.
I really don’t see something like that pissing him off. When things don’t go his way he doesn’t waste time getting angry or vindictive - he assesses the new reality and figures out how best to use it to his advantage.
In fact, the times he has appeared angry it seemed like an act to me.. when he thinks a show of anger will get the best results. For example that mug shot - he looked angry but I’m sure that was a calm decision to pose that way.
I was not talking about announcing the RFK endorsement. I meant when RFK let slip that there will be other Democrats who will be endorsing. As I said, maybe Trump asked him to let that news out…. To build anticipation. But, I think it’s more likely that Trump preferred the element of surprise.
Maybe annoyed is a better way of putting it. It’s not like it would ruin Trump’s day. But, I’m sure he has a plan for these announcements. And I doubt having RFK blab it out was part of the plan.
