Talk about weird ways to die. One of the best TV comedies ever was Dead Like Me. It was about dead reapers who took the souls of people just before they died. Each week people would be killed in hilarious ways. It's still available on Hulu I think.

Small fishing boats nearby unharmed. Co-defendant in the case killed by a car in the UK a couple of days earlier.

Someone cleaning up loose ends.

***as Italian authorities launched a manslaughter investigation into what downed the $40 million yacht***

They went for a “three hour tour” when Poseidon(Neptune) was not in Ethiopia at a feast in his honor.

All the ancients knew that the Ethiopian feast days were the safest time to sail!

The design with such a tall mast and raised keel is inherently unstable. People have had concerns for awhile.

We know the ship sank extremely quickly. Some of the speculation for “why” is that some watertight doors that should have been sealed may have been left open.

I don’t know if there is any actual evidence, but the boat manufacturer is claiming that a waterline / beach club door at the stern of the boat that should have closed as soon as the passengers came back on board was left open. Ther is also a bulkhead door between the engineers cabin and the engine room that the engineer would have needed to go through regularly and may have been left open out of convenience / laziness. If both were in fact open that would explain the rapid sinking.

But as far as I know this is all speculation.
