Yeah, I knew I was wrong with the acronym, but thankfully you remembered it, and even what it translates to. 🙂👍

But at least I had three of the four correct letters. I consider that to be a resounding success, for T rhymes with C, and I had the P in the right slot. 🤣

But seeing it and seeing the the description of what it is, makes it much easier to grasp, then just hearing it. Thanks for providing me that. 🙂👍

Here is it for others reading our discussion:

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a problem with hormones that happens during the reproductive years. If you have PCOS, you may not have periods very often. Or you may have periods that last many days. You may also have too much of a hormone called androgen in your body.

With PCOS, many small sacs of fluid develop along the outer edge of the ovary. These are called cysts. The small fluid-filled cysts contain immature eggs. These are called follicles. The follicles fail to regularly release eggs.

Ovarian cysts can also rupture and cause great pain, infection, or havoc with the intestines sticking together from the fluids released, so that regular bowel function is painful or impossible.
