Taxpayer-Funded Group Offers $30,000 to Illegal Aliens to Buy Homes

A far-left organization that has received funding from taxpayer dollars is offering up to $30,000 to illegal aliens so that they can purchase homes in the United States.

As the Daily Caller reports, the Hacienda Community Development Corp. (Hacienda CDC) is participating in a down payment assistance program in Oregon called “Camino a Casa.” The initiative is explicitly only available for non-citizens, while American citizens are ineligible. The $30,000 handouts are branded as down payment assistance for illegals who are attempting to purchase new homes.

“Clients work closely with financial coaches and HUD-certified housing counselors throughout the entirety of the homebuying process. In addition to mortgage readiness and financial fitness workshops, we provide various opportunities for down-payment assistance,” according to internal documents that have since been leaked.

State Representative Ed Diehl (R-Ore.) has since confirmed the authenticity of the documents, which state that one of the eligibility requirements is being a non-citizen.

“American citizens in Oregon are struggling to find and buy a home,” said Representative Diehl in a statement. “We have a severe housing shortage in this state. I am appalled that the hard-earned, limited tax dollars of Oregonians are being used to prioritize home ownership for certain non-US citizens. Oregon can’t end this state-sponsored discrimination soon enough.”

Hacienda CDC is funded in part by the Economic Equity Investment Program (EEIP), which was established by the passage of the Economic Equity Investment Act (SB 1579) in 2022. As such, the project receives funding from both state taxpayers and federal taxes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

After EEIP was initially granted $15 million to distribute to various organizations with the intention of helping individuals purchase land and property, another $8 million was allocated to the initiative in 2024 for the purpose of providing “culturally responsive services to support economic stability, self-sufficiency, wealth building, and economic equity among disadvantaged individuals, families, businesses, and communities.” This additional funding was then sent to multiple other groups, including Hacienda CDC.

Andrew Quinio, an attorney with the Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF), has said that it is likely that Hacienda CDC’s discrimination against American citizens could constitute a violation of constitutional rights.

“Oregon cannot treat individuals differently based on race except in very rare exceptions, nor can it have groups do so on its behalf,” said Quinio in a statement. “The Legislative Counsel’s analysis raised important questions of whether the EEIP would survive a court challenge, given that its apparent intent and application is to provide assistance to groups that assist only individuals of specific races. The Constitution forbids the government from advantaging or disadvantaging individuals based on race, either directly or indirectly this way.”

They force you to pay a “social security” tax so you can have some money to fall back on when you’re too old to work. They won’t let you have it all at once and one pretty much has to jump through hoops to get it - then, once you start receiving your “dividends,” you are taxed on that, too. Because you dared to work. (And of course you get treated like a bum when you try to get any of it back.)

I haven’t even started trying to get social security - I’m pretty sure one of my family members is planning on me dying untimely so they can get this $$ (because even though it’s not a fortune, it’s just good to steal stuff from Kristi!). I’m sure that when/if I do try to collect this “dividend” that I was FORCED to pay into (by the time I was 30 years old I had paid enough SS so that - if they had given me all my $$ at once - I could have bought a small house outright, for cash) it will only be enough to pay PART of the monthly rent - forget about food, bills, gas, and all that stuff. If I get a job to cover what the SS won’t cover, I won’t get the SS anymore.

Of course, they’re trying to get us all to go nuts and start shooting. At some point it’s going to get so outrageous that even nice little old ladies are going to pick up their guns because they won’t be able to afford cat food anymore.

another instance of US funding our own destruction.

seems like the whole open border invasion of America is tax payer funded through our own gummit transfers to NGO’s, UN, WEF, charities ....

If you loved the recession of 2008, you will love allowing unqualified persons to buy houses. There is a difference between the amount a person can borrow and how much they should borrow in order to avoid a housing bubble and crash.

$30,000 is meaningless unless there’s a bank, foolish enough to lend the rest of the likely $200k to $500k to a presumably penniless invader who likely is barely employable to the degree needed to sustain payments of the PITI. Of course, mortgage defaults will result in The Big Short Part 2, compounded with hardworking citizens who can no longer pay the raising insurance or criminally high property taxes. As a real estate investor, I’ll become very wealthy if this jackass party wins, but even that will be shortlived as all boats sink by 2026.

It was $10k, then $15k, then $25k and now $30. Do I hear $50? $50! How about $75? Gimme 75! Ok, 75! Do I hear $100K? Sold, the man in the grubby t-shirt who doesn’t speak English and has no idea what he raised his hand for except thinking it was another freebie - which it is!!!

Eventually minority Americans will learn about this and they won’t be happy. I’d ask them who did you vote for and who will you vote for?

I have been trying to find where this eligibility is even mentioned. Was it supposed to be a secret? Obviously excluding citizens likely violates non-discrimination laws regarding housing. However non-citizen does not automatically mean illegal immigrants. If the applicant is a non-citizen legally here seeking to become a permanent resident I don’t have a problem with he or she being eligible. Illegal immigrant are a different matter and should not be eligible for the program.

Thank you for referencing that article MtnClimber. Please note that the following critique is directed at worthless, corrupt Congress and not at you.

"Taxpayer-Funded Group Offers $30,000 to Illegal Aliens to Buy Homes"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Congress has the constitutional power of the purse, not oppressed taxpayers. So our your corrupt Congress is really who offering $30,000 that Congress stole from citizens' wallets to illegal aliens to buy homes.

Democratic and Republican Trump supporters are reminded that its actually up to us to take the first MAJOR step to finish draining the swamp by supporting hopeful Trump 47 with an all-new, Constitution-respecting Congress in November so that he will not be a lame duck president from the first day of his second term.

Also, let's not allow the anti-Trump media try to fade our memories of what we witnessed on July 13.

There is zero challenge to the fact the democrats want to destroy this nation. None. If there were real Americans in office this would be busted up for aiding and abetting CRIMINALS. Throw these jerks in jail and deport these criminal invaders.

When I drive through Oregon to visit family at the coast I pass hundreds, if not thousands, of tents and run down RVs. They are everywhere. I bet when the democrats go harvest those mail in ballots they don’t tell them illegal aliens are going to get 30,000 bucks to buy a house while they still live in tents and old RVs.

I simply cannot imagine an IA (illegal alien) arranging for this 30K, moving into the home, then turning around and selling it, for cash, to another one, especially for an assumable, for the euity, which is the 30 K.

Especially when there is a ...say 10% kickback to the parent org.

Any Oregonian republicans here that have the ears of the Oregon Republican Party?

Oregon has a huge population of homeless people who have their ballots harvested and transported all over the state by the very effective democrats to provide just enough votes where they are needed to pass every democrat proposal and get the democrats elected. The mail in voting system is a total democrat protection racket. An enterprising republican outreach to the homeless letting them know the democrats are giving illegals 30 grand for a house while they live in squalor could be mighty motivating for someone living in a broken down RV.
