Her parents do not have to have been born in the US in order for her to be a citizen since she was born in the US.True. USC 8 Sec. 1401 grants the child citizenship in those circumstances.
The parents still, however, have to be naturalized for the child to be a natural born citizen.

Her parents do not have to have been born in the US in order for her to be a citizen since she was born in the US. Citizens and "natural born citizens" are not the same thing. As Kamala gets her citizenship *ONLY* through the 14th amendment, she is a naturalized citizen.
