I’ve been doing keto and fasting for five years. Initially my ldl went up, but that’s to be expected while losing weight. I started putting olive oil in my coffee to increase my fat intake and my ldl dropped like a stone.
Truth be told, most researchers idea of a keto diet is usually bass backwards so I don’t really take their research seriously.
What exactly is the difference between their keto diet and the low sugar diet since keto is also low sugar?

Keto is extremely low carb. Low sugar is just low sugar.
Yep. Low sugar, and especially low carbs as they’re mostly processed....how can that be ‘bad’ for you? Increase good oils like olive oil...which is known for heart benefits.
#1 stay away from fried carbs followed by sugary drinks. E.g. fries and coke.
