You’re tripping if you want to visit this tourist hotspot. A Gen Z travel influencer who has ventured to 190 of the world’s 193 countries says Egypt is among the most overrated places on the planet.
Luca Pferdmenges, 22, made the bold claim in an interview with the Daily Mail on Saturday, with the declaration sure to dash the hopes of those who have long dreamed of seeing the pyramids and sailing down the Nile.
The German explorer has racked up 2.9 million TikTok followers and some serious air miles by filming travel videos around the globe, but he won’t be returning to the North African nation in a hurry.

My vote for #1: Plymouth Rock
As my freshman year high school history teacher said 50 years ago about Plymouth Rock: world’s biggest ash tray.
I suspect en-z main requirement is internet access to check for licks and looks on a frequent basis.
No iFag use, no go? Got to have that instant gratification and affirmation.
They cannot cope alone.
I’ve been to Egypt. It’s an absolute shit hole. And the tourist sites are crawling with thieving, scamming lowlifes
Your comment actually made sense to me, strange as it is. :-)
There is no ME country I would visit by choice.
Why do people care what some whippersnapper had to complain about? Let me guess.......the air conditioning was broken, he couldn't find a Starbucks, there was too much sand and the camels smell bad.
I have actually read about an "influencer" who complained about all the sand around the pyramids.
I’m a Gen Z travel influencer who’s been to 190 countries — this is the most overrated place on Earth
What do “travel influencers” do after the onset of the nuclear war that their votes, empty-headed “ethics”, and influencing helped to bring about?
Strike one. Hope he never draws Muhammad.
>> Why do people care what some whippersnapper had to complain about? I have actually read about an “influencer” @etc
Vote for me for overlord and I promise I will find every single “influencer” on the WWWebz and rip each of their tongues out with red-hot pincers. :-) And that’s just the beginning of what I have in store for them.
“the tourist sites are crawling with thieving, scamming lowlifes”
Sounds like most all eastern cities with historical stuff to see.
Like we’re supposed to attach significance to what this scrawny little spoiled girly man has to say?
Anywhere “touristy” is over rated in my experience. Especially American cities. I will stick to the mountains.
See, I wasn’t that disappointed with Plymouth Rock. When my family went, my mom, who’d seen it before, lowered expectations. “It’s not a big boulder like you might imagine...” LOL
Apparently this guy is a vegan.
Want to hear a good one. I signed into FB way back when it was shiny as Moe Green from Las Vegas. Fb kept sending me request to update because I kept posting things from NY for like the whole 3 months I was on it. True story. I had idiots from Nevada want to hook up for a drink. Ya right Sgt Creepalot.
> There is no ME country I would visit by choice. <
Yep. I prefer small-town America for my vacations. Each town is unique in its own way. I book a nice B&B, then go fishing. Or I just walk the town talking to the locals. Lunch at the diner. That sort of thing.
If I want to see the pyramids or the Eiffel Tower, I’ll go to the internet. Lots of virtual tours there.
(No disrespect meant to anyone who feels the need to actually stand at the base of the Eiffel Tower. To each his own. Just watch your wallet. The place is crawling with scammers and pickpockets.)
