I agree, but before women got the vote were men who did not own property. That started the downward spiral.

I would agree with the overall view that “women voters” are not the problem.

It is not a hard and fast rule that applies more to individuals than to the block of women as a whole, but it is un-married, single women (who may be childless too) that I see as more of an issue. And it is hard to argue they don’t present a voting block hostile to conservative values, and the principles of Constitution are threatened by them.

I understand why the concept that only property owners should be allowed the vote is considered to be an elitist viewpoint, but there is something to consider there.

The reason being is that people who may not be invested financially may, as a corollary, not be as invested in understanding various issues because they don’t pertain to them.

They don’t have any “skin-in-the-game” from the perspective of legislation affecting the fundamental workings in the economy and elsewhere, and benefit more from greater government spending.

Anyone who is forced to pay taxes, import duties, fees that are government sponsored has the right to vote!

Therre must be no taxation without representation and the right to vote for such representation by all those who are taxed must be preserved.

Other wise tax all the wealthy and the land owners and forbid them by law to pass the cost of those taxes to others.

it’s the taxation without representation issue that is at the root of allowing all affected by such taxation to be able to vote. Even women had to pay taxes, duties, fees and import tariffs depending on what they bought or sold.
