There’s always the “Or what?” behind this kind of statement. The options aren’t attractive.

Well, stop all aid and resupply of Palestinian HAMAS, give Israel a public green light to do what they need. And as many of the hostages are American citizens, do we let Israel recover them or do we step in.

As an American who has traveled to over 50 countries, I'd prefer an American who will take action, strong action, to protect and recover Americans. Even if that means war. Everyone around the world needs to refresh themselves that no one touches an American and gets away with it.
