The full text is worth reading and saving. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is an old school Democrat. The kind who believed in representing the interests of low to middle class, blue to middle white collar workers. A breed of Democrat politician that started dying off in the 1990s.
His staying in the race and in the news reminds Democrat voters of what their party used to stand for compared to what it is now. This helps Trump. The press can cover for Harris only so far. She cannot escape she is the Vice President, the Democratic Nominee, and has to campaign for herself, not through proxies.
If Kennedy is in the running to draw attention to issues and not act as a spoiler, after the Democrat Convention he should announce he is withdrawing from the race. The long he holds out, the more he becomes a spoiler which undermines his message. Voters don't like obvious spoilers.
