Perry OD’ed on Ketamine, which is also used as anesthesia, depression/anxiety treatment, and “recreational” use (abuse) to get high.

Ketamine, brand name Ketalar was invented/patented by Parke-Davis initially for use in veterinary medicine. Then expanded use in trauma surgery in Vietnam War because ketamine does not suppress breathing function as well as maintains blood pressure without hypotension.

The street use of ketamine (stolen from vet clinics and suppliers often) is similar to effect sought from fentanyl, and ketamine can be used as adjunct anesthesia with fentanyl (presecription fentanyl).

So maybe this “star” was on heroin addiction management and went wild with the ketamine. A physician culpable- is not a good sign for the ring of dealers in this agent. Sort of like what happened to Elvis shopping his doctors down exclusively to the Greek guy who prescribed huge amounts of what killed him.

Because Hollywood Matthew Perry’s death investigation gets front page and internet attention, which in turn makes it seem as though they are doing their jobs, thus buying votes. No names, unimportant people from anywhere among hundreds of thousands doesn’t even make local news anymore.

Multiple people have been arrested, including a doctor, in connection with “Friends” star Matthew Perry’s overdose death last fall,
= = =

Will they charge Perry? He administered the dose.

The difference between a high social profile and a low social profile. None of our deaths make it out of county interest.

This whole story makes me sad but also makes me feel grateful.

This guy got one of the rare opportunities in Hollywood. High dollar Residuals for life because of how popular the show continues to be and he never had to work again.

I just saw a great interview with him. He looked really bad and had some kind of speech issue. He said he wished people got all they dreamed of to see it’s not the answer.

He tried to get help and people took advantage of him.

I know that I am going to suffer through whatever pain I have without addiction medicine until the big C hits..then I don’t care.

“At the time of his death, the actor had about 3.54 micrograms per milliliter of ketamine in his bloodstream –which is nearly three times the normal amount.”

There's a normal amount of ketamine?

Perry was no different than other addicts.....chasing the high.
His wealth only made it easier for him to obtain his drug, but it also afforded him numerous opportunities to overcome - which at best was temporary... As with Michael Jackson and Elvis along with other Hollywood celebrities.

You can't blame others because they simply provided what he wanted which he would have acquired one way or another - with or without them. Addicts always do.

As for enduring pain without addictive drugs.....I can't take any opium based drugs, which most pain killers are. So when needed Dr.s figure over the counter
cocktails on a temporary basis. Otherwise I endure.
