That is nonsensical balderacious drivel.

Cops need night sticks and black jacks

I don’t know about blackjacks. But the Rodney King incident caused many police departments to stop carrying nightsticks. That was a mistake. A nightstick can be an effective tool if used the right way (as a prod or as a lever).

Anyway, I’m disturbed that the police in that video so readily followed Walz’s orders - see my post #17. I would also say that, based on my experience, most cops are okay. Professional enough.

But perhaps 15% are no good. They have ego and/or escalation problems. That number might seem low, but it’s actually way too high. Would you go to a dental practice where 15% of the staff there deliberately do a bad job, and make your dental problems worse?

I don’t know how to fix this. We, of course, want nothing but high quality people as police officers. But these days the deck is stacked against them.

Cops are mostly useless for crime prevention. They can’t be everywhere at all times.

If someone attacks you, odds are overwhelming that police won’t arrive in time.

And during BLM riots they stood by and watched while rioters burned down buildings including police stations.

And in areas with highest crime (major cities) liberals and woke DAs will release any criminals that police arrest.

The cops, however, will relentlessly enforce traffic laws on middle class law abiders, because that generates revenue.

As I said, the police have no benefit to law abiding patriots.
