Maybe they tried to shelter in place and waited too long to leave… he just needed to send one more email for his boss… then they ran out into the street and the man got run over by a fleeing cart wagon and broke his leg. Then he couldn’t run OR walk, so they tried to find a closet to hide in. They he had to listen to the woman bitching that if they had only left when she wanted to, he would have not been run over by a donkey cart and they would have made it, but nooooo he had to put his work as a priority and never thought of her neeeeeeds. He got so tired of her nagging him that he prayed for Zeus to end his misery … and there they are.
Only on a very fast horse going thd correct direction. So tragic for those people.
