I love these stories from rural America. 20+ years ago I used to pheasant hunt out in N.W. Logan Kansas where the local radio station would report agricultural prices and host a buy and sale segment where folks would call in with items they were selling or offering up puppies and kittens......

Went quail and pheasant hunting in South Central Kansas with my dad’s navy WW2 war buddy in the mid “70. That kind of trip would cost big bucks today.
Shoot some pheasant let the navy buddie dress it then the Kansas wife did the wild rice and pheasant thing can’t beat that.
