It appears short term starvation of tryptophan forces liver cells to stop growing and even reverts some cancer cells to restore normal gene expression.

It can be hard to eat without getting tryptophan, but some foods are low or devoid of it, including collagens.

A short list of foods that contain tryptophan:
Chicken, eggs, cheese, fish, peanuts, milk, turkey, tofu and soy. Good luck avoiding it!

Oh, sure! Take away my joy!

You can have my turkey, when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.

Sounds like a starvation diet to me. I don’t know that much would be left to sustain life.

As the great Doctor Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy stated in The Omega Glory, long life is primarily genetic. Lazarus Long would heartily agree.

I’m betting it’s the soybeans that are the worst, but I don’t know. Liver cancer incidence and mortality rates are approximately 1·5 to 2 times higher in American Indian or Alaska Native (AIAN), Asian, Black, and Latino populations than in the White population in the USA. (The Lancet) Asians eat a lot of soybean products, and Alaska natives traditionally eat mostly meat.

A lot of cancer cures work in mice, that don’t work in humans. I’d want to know if this worked in humans before changing my diet.
