It doesn't take much imagination that Walz could take the same role as Soetoro's VP, Brandon, and have Walz, as Karmello's VP take over the China portfolio. Walz would become a very rich man. Who knows, maybe Karmello would assign him UKR, too.

My impression of Walz is that of useful idiot/ opportunist. I don't think the Chinese asked him to do anything that he wasn't already inclined to do. When they sweetened the pot he just became more enthusiastic.

I doubt Walz is a traitor. He is a first-class idiot though.
