by Mateen Elass (Author)

**********

In a world where outward appearances can obscure deeper truths, this book delves into one of the most misinterpreted religions today. Elass reveals the stark discrepancies between the image of Islam portrayed by Western media and Muslim advocates and the religion’s genuine teachings and historical practices that remain less visible.

The book navigates the core of Islam, challenging common narratives and shedding light on the traditional teachings at the heart of its sacred texts. Elass engages in a thorough and candid examination, debunking the portrayal of Islam as a paragon of peace, and scrutinizing its doctrines regarding conflict, human rights, and ambitions of global influence.

.....That orthodox Islam is not a benign religion playing nicely in the world of Western multiculturalism.

Islam is really not a “religion of Abraham” and should not be grouped together with Judaism and Christianity.

The God of Islam and the God of the Bible are not one and the same. In fact, they are at heart antithetical to one another.

Western civilization is built on Judeo-Christian principles.

The author grew up in Syria and understands everyday Islam not the west’s fantasy version. He became a Christian. Book is a good read and not long approx. 213 pages.

Elon Musk’s Social Media Platform X Revealed: Bias Exposed!

https://www.waynedupree.com/2024/08/Elon-Musk-Social-Media-Platform-X-Revealed-Bias-Exposed

Excerpt:

A recent investigation by the Media Research Center (MRC) has revealed a significant bias in the algorithm of Elon Musk’s social media platform X, favoring left-leaning media outlets while suppressing those with right-leaning perspectives. The comprehensive study analyzed content from 62 news organizations across the political spectrum and found that the algorithm of X, formerly known as Twitter, disproportionately boosts content from left-leaning sources. This is despite Musk’s efforts to rebrand the platform as a bastion of free speech, according to MRC Vice President for Free Speech Dan Schneider.

The study highlights that all 30 left-leaning media outlets examined received a boost from X’s algorithm, in stark contrast to the 74% of right-leaning outlets that saw their visibility reduced. These findings underscore concerns about potential biases embedded within X’s AI mechanisms, particularly its “Grok” tool. Grok utilizes a “Reputation” score to influence which posts gain prominence on users’ feeds—a system that appears skewed towards amplifying leftist viewpoints.

Grok’s explanation of its functioning sheds light on a pivotal aspect: accounts must attain a minimum “Tweepcred” score of 65 to be recommended widely on the platform. Accounts falling below this threshold experience de-prioritization, leading to diminished engagement and reach. This criterion seems to systematically disadvantage conservative media by assigning them lower scores compared to their leftist counterparts.

.....These revelations come in the wake of similar studies pointing out preferential treatment extended by X’s algorithm toward liberal politicians and causes. Earlier findings suggested an undue amplification of Democratic voices over Republican ones in political discourse, with specific instances highlighting disproportionate exposure granted to figures such as Vice President Kamala Harris over her Republican counterparts. Such patterns raise pressing questions about the role social media algorithms play in shaping political narratives and influencing electoral outcomes.

.....As Musk continues his quest to eradicate these lingering influences, stakeholders await further adjustments that promise an unbiased digital public square facilitating equitable discourse across the full political spectrum.

This study by MRC not only casts a spotlight on existing disparities but also ignites crucial discussions around transparency and fairness within social media ecosystems. It serves as a call-to-action for ongoing vigilance and reformative efforts—ensuring platforms like X can truly embody their aspirations towards open dialogue and democratic engagement without partisan interference.
