I tried to figure out how to check if my name was associated with any ActBlue donations in Ohio but they wanted a bunch of information I wasn’t willng to give. Anyone know how to check otherwise?

Here’s some information that may help:

How to Find Out If Your Neighbor Is Donating to a Politician (from 2016)

https://www.moneytalksnews.com/are-your-neighbors-giving-money-political-candidates/

We Are OpenSecrets

Nonpartisan, independent and nonprofit, OpenSecrets is the nation’s premier research group tracking money in U.S. politics and its effect on elections and public policy.
https://www.opensecrets.org/

Federal Elections Commission

https://www.fec.gov/introduction-campaign-finance/how-to-research-public-records/individual-contributions/

State and local databases

1. State-level databases: For state-level political donations, you can:
o Contact your state’s Secretary of State or Election Commission office for information on state-level campaign finance databases.
o Search online for your state’s specific database, such as California’s Power Search (CAL-ACCESS) or another state’s equivalent.

Note: Open Secrets claims to be bipartisan but if I read their info. correctly they don’t have data for donations under $200. Plus they are recommended by the usual propaganda trash like NYT, Reuters, WaPo.

Local and state databases depend on the state i.e. if in a blue state the data may be harder to find.

Sobieski at Kahlenberg Mtn provided some links to use to do a donation search.

Just used this one, it is easy to do an individual search.

https://www.fec.gov/data/

Type in name (last name first, followed by comma then 1st name) After hitting search to the right of the name a filter box comes up on left that you can enter different filters, ACTBLUE and zip for example.

Nothing came up for me or wife but my son showed 140 donations to ACTBLUE? Donations were small, .50 to 15.00 and normally two on the same day, .50 and 5.00 for example.

Almost certain these were not from him, will call him when he get off work
