A federal judge in Texas has put the brakes on the Biden–Harris regime’s efforts to grant citizenship to up to 500,000 illegal immigrants married to U.S. citizens. Sixteen Republican-led states challenged the so-called Keeping Families Together scheme, and Judge J. Campbell Barker has now issued a temporary halt to its implementation.The lawsuit challenges the Biden-Harris government’s authority to bypass Congress on immigration matters. Judge Barker, appointed by former President Donald J. Trump, found these concerns valid, ruling that the executive branch cannot unilaterally rewrite immigration laws. While the Keeping Families Together program remains open for applications, processing is on hold until the court fully reviews the case.
