Where do you have any evidence he’s made a u-turn? Overlooking for the moment a personal life that Slick Willie couldn’t compete with. Fundamentally he’s a professional politician who will say what he thinks he has to say to get a following. He tried identifying with international leftism - Chavez\Maduro then radical environmentalism those associations only took him so far. Now he has found he resonates somewhat with Trump supporters on COVID etc. He will play that political card to stay in and see what opportunities develop from that.
Let me add to say all those past associations and stances on issues doesn’t matter makes us no better than democrats when it comes to considering the suitability candidates!
He basically burned all his bridges in DC in order to expose the corruption of government and pharmaceutical. If you’ve never burned all your bridges you have no idea what that means. I do know what that means and I can only respect him for that part of his life, which is a great service to this country. If America is to heal we have to allow u-turns. If burning all the bridges isn’t enough for you then nothing will ever be enough and you are no better than the media which does its darnedest to keep us from uniting to save this country
