The Natural Born Citizen Clause is a dead letter because it is unenforceable.

I don't know if you remember Congressman Billybob, a FReeper (John Armour) who died of colon cancer in 2009. He was a constitutional lawyer. He pointed out that there is only one body authorized by law to decide on the qualifications of a presidential candidate, and that is the Electoral College. However, it's the Electoral College as it existed in 1789, not as it exists today.

Armour pointed out that the correct procedure is for an Elector of the victorious party to file in state court, not federal court, a suit demanding that the candidate of his party show as evidence his qualifications for office. In 1789, a state's Electors consisted of the best and brightest non-officeholders in that state who would examine their consciences and vote for president and vice president. Starting in the 1830s, Electors became political hacks pledged to vote for their party's nominees. In today's Electoral College, an Elector who exercised his right to demand a display of qualifications would be expelled from that state's Electors and replaced by an Alternate Elector who was loyal to the party and knew his place. That would render his suit moot because of lack of standing.

Over the past 16 years, I've stayed away from birther threads because in the end it doesn't matter what the Framers meant in 1787 when they wrote the Constitution. Once a presidential candidate wins the election, no court, especially a federal court, will countenance a challenge that would overturn the people's choice. It's that simple. The time for a challenge to qualifications should be before the election, but a state's Electors don't meet until after the election. That makes the Natural Born Citizen Clause unenforceable.

When in office Nobama awarded Pearson Publishing a $350 million contract to develop the common core curriculum. When he left office Penguin Random House, a subsidiary of Pearson Publishing, gave Nobama the $65 million book deal. Now $ 350 million doesn’t sound like much but 41 states and DC at the time adopted some or all of common core and since Pearson Publishing developed the standards for the program the schools and education departments in those 41 states had to buy their common core books from Pearson Publishing or one of its subsidiaries. Plus government even had incentives to pay those that adopted common core. The $65 million quid pro quo paid to Nobama was peanuts compared to how much return Pearson Publishing made on the $350 million used to develop the common core curriculum, even though eventually most states that adopted some or all of it got rid of it. The money was spent.

***how come he still raises his ugly head on some of these ongoing cases? Why does any court listen to him if he is not legit***

Judge Cannon's ruling does not affect other court districts, unless accepted passively.

I am convinced Judge Cannon slowly deliberated on many contested issues long enough to make it difficult for another jurisdiction to revive the case in time for the election. Remember that Jack Smith begrudgingly accepted a south Florida assignment of the case because he feared 'change of venue' motions would delay litigation beyond time to squeeze a verdict in prior to the election.

Even in South Florida Smith moved heaven and earth to keep Judge Cannon off of the case, lobbying for another corrupt Dem appointed judge. Look how his crew used the federal Magistrate to issue the broad reaching Mar-a-Lago raid warrant! Used him a few times to undermine Judge Cannon's jurisdiction over related matters.

Smith continued to keep a D.C. grand jury on the Florida case right up to the end - may still be holding it. I think Judge Cannon felt that if she dismissed the case too early leading up to election season that Jack Smith would pull one of his dirty tricks to get the trial reopened in D.C. - who wanted the case in the first place.

In D.C. a spoiled ham sandwich would have a better chance of being exonerated than Donald Trump. 🚮

***Why can’t we have a Federal audit of how the Obamas acquired all that wealth***

Legit corporate graft. I think Barack or Michelle just got paid $3/4 million for giving a speech. Upon leaving the WH Barack got a multi million 💰 book advance (written by a 'ghost' writer!)

All legal and all dirty as H3ll. "Hey, Mr./Ms. POTUS! Give me that fat contract and when you leave office I will pay you $3/4 million PLUS expenses to give a speech at the stock holder's meeting in Las Vegas!"

Back when Barack was a Senator, Michelle had a job in a Chicago hospital that paid $300,000 a year... never even had to show up for work - said she hated her country until Barack became POTUS.

I think President Trump will always have a warm spot for the Kennedys because of JFK Jr.

I thought RFK Jr. looked overwhelmed by the crowd and the enthusiasm. Who has ever seen anything like it?

TtT offered JFK Jr. a legacy: cleaning America of chemicals. He wisely took the offer.

Bobby looked solemn... like he finally got confirmation of his worst fears about his father and uncle. I think he’s ready to kick Monsanto’s azz!
