Most of the stadiums also went cashless. They have cash to card kiosks, but if you don't spend what is left over on the card, they start charging maintanence fees after 90 days.
Sounds like a test bed for CBDC infrastructure....

Not sure of the technology used, something with a cellphone. A friend of our family had a pretty good idea his sisters husband was cheating on her. The brother and husband worked at the same corporation Whatever, the husband had a “business” trip planned to Florida and he said there was a group of guys going to a football bowl game. The brother somehow captured photos of the husband and his girlfriend in the stands. Ended a fifteen year marriage.
