Also, at high tide, there’s little to no sand to walk on. You enter through a staircase that’s between homes; this is one of those Malibu beaches that looks private but isn’t.

Correct on all counts. I lived for 3 years in Capistrano Beach, just over the PCH from the Tressels.
Give a Long Island beach anytime.

California has a lot of good surfing beaches, but the Japan Current brings cold water down from Alaska, so it's not so good for swimming.

There’s a well-known taco place near 90th Street right under the subway in Rockaway.
It’s outdoors and the food was really good, and very nice atmosphere.
But the owners are obviously Left wingers. They had an autographed picture of Fauci on display!
In late summer 2021 NYC required vaccine cards, in order to eat in restaurants. But it only applied to indoor restaurants.
And there was a grace period of a month between when it was first implemented in August, and when it was actually being enforced in September.
The only restaurants that were enforcing it in August where the super woke places. And this taco place was one of them, even though it’s outdoors!
I gave them a piece of my mind, to put it mildly, and haven’t been back since.
NYers. There are ones who are lost in the propaganda, and it’s disheartening to know.
But those beaches up and down the island….lovely.

Always check for latest sewage spill records it happens a lot here in the Los Angeles area at least three times a year.
