Matt Gaetz reposted Kyle Rittenhouse @ThisIsKyleR Over the past 12 hours, I've had a series of productive conversations with members of the Trump's team and I am confident he will be the strong ally gun owners need to defend our Second Amendment rights.
My comments made last night were ill-informed and unproductive. I'm 100% behind Donald Trump and encourage every gun owner to join me in helping send him back to the White House. 3:46 PM · Aug 2, 2024 · 4.7M Views
He is probably the most pro 2A president we have had since Gen Eisenhower.
His bump fire stock EO was good strategy because it prevented congressional legislation banning bump stocks.
President has not come out against suppressors.
Glad he wised-up. Now back to not shiving a git what he thinks.
“Productive conversations.”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He was blocked by thousands on X. He is dead to them and they won’t see any appeals he makes.
Kyle took a lot of heat for his association with, Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, a gun lobby ran by serial Trump hater Dudley Brown and his betrayal of MAGA on X today.

Oh well, Kyle I regret to inform you that I will no longer be one of your guests on September 12 at the TXGR event. I reckon you can write in someone else. This was not the way, bud.

BYE forever I can stomach a lot of things - but backstabbing millions who supported you at your lowest point. Then turning on Trump right after he got shot. Can’t stomach it - won’t put up with it - forgotten forever...
The Left was trying to put him in prison for life - and MAGA came to the rescue and so did Trump. Almost every dime for his great defense lawyers and every dime he has in the bank is because of MAGA.We promoted him, financed him, prayed for him, and on and on...I blocked the backstabbing, ungrateful punk...
Rittenhouse made a serious, very public mistake. Boy was I angry and disappointed when I read it yesterday!
Then he recognized and owned his mistake. He did not make excuses or blame anyone else. He said in no uncertain terms “I was wrong”.
He repented in the true meaning of the word — turned from his mistaken behavior and CHANGED COURSE. Now he supports President Trump 100%.
I forgive him.
rittenhouse is being influenced by dudley brown, the head of the national association of gun rights and many pseudo state level ‘gun rights’ organizations.
brown, and his organizations, are anti Trump, and he frequently attacks other gun rights organizations and the legislations they sponsor.
brown is attributed by many, through their intervention in politics, for turning colorado blue.
brown’s opposition is the reason colorado still has a 15 instead of 30 round magazine capacity
brown and nagr are also involved and supported by ron and rand paul, who has frequently written fund raising emails for nagr.
That was a quick flip. 😏
Sounds like someone had a bit of a chat with him.🤔
I live in Kenosha, he saved Kenosha, I hope he changes his mind. Trump backed him and the 2nd amendment.
Quote: "I don't love the idea of it (suppressors)."
The rest of your post is also uninformed bollocks.
Trump was not referring to suppressors in his comments , he refers to the circumstances of the shooting. The interviewer tried to pin Trump down as opposing suppressors but Trump did not bite.
This is a rhetorical device Trump uses a lot when he is dealing with hostile reporters. trying to pin him down on hot button issues. He did exactly the same thing using the same terminology at his interview with the Black Journalist meeting.
And which Presidents have been more Pro 2A than President Trump?
JFK?
Lyndon Johnson?
Richard Nixon?
Gerald Ford?
Jimmy Carter?
Ronald Reagan?
George HW Bush?
Bill Clinton?
George W Bush?
Barak Obama?
Joe Biden?
I'd really like to know your humble opinion on this one so I can shoot it down. Fact is President Trump is the single most Pro 2A President in the last 65 years. .
Oh, and by the way- bump stocks can be kind of a fun way to burn up ammo, but they are absolutely worthless range toys in the area of firearms self defense.
In fact, they are potentially very dangerous and irresponsible if used in an actual defensive shooting situation because they are not sufficiently controllable.
A bump fired shot is by definition an intentional and relatively uncontrolled negligent discharge.
The lack of precise control puts bystanders in danger of being hit by a stray shot either due lack of aiming precision or due to firing an unintentional surplus "bump shot".
If you are a serious shooter who contemplates using a firearm is serious self defense situation, especially a public one, you are being very irresponsible.
To waste a range time opportunity and scarce and expensive ammo blowing through a bunch of mags of bump fired ammo that could be better used to hone your skills to become a more proficient and safer shooter when the chips are down. It is both stupid and irresponsible if you actually feel you may have to use a firearm in a life or death shooting situation in a public area filled filled with bystanders.
I generally take a dim view of bump fire stocks for the simple reason that they are toys and reduce firearms to becoming playthings. Guns are great for many many forms of recreation but they should never be though of or treated as playthings.
