Thanks for the suggestion; I’ll look into it
Coincidentally, just this morning, with the help of AI, I found a treatment for the spasm. I am desperate for something that can be administer acutely because the attack is 12 hours of living hell. It is nitroglycerin, administered sublingually, same as for heart pain (smooth muscle). Lord, I wish I would have known about that earlier.
Amazingly, Ajipure makes a taurine form, too:

Re esophageal backup:
Have run across research in the past that suggested that some parts of the issue can be due to insufficient bodily enzymes, condition almost endemic after age 40 in western diets, particularly bad in the obese and/or those whom indulge in “fast food” or processed foods regularly, i.e. most of us.
Had a one such person age 70 clinically obese, fast-food junkie (a pastor, oddly enough) who suffers from Barrat’s esophagus and gave him a bottle of high-count enzymes (this brand was a Puritan’s Pride high enzyme product which is constantly out of stock) and he began to take two with every meal. He received relief while he took this, as his body was now able to digest his food more completely before lying down and having undigested food come up into his throat (my surmise)
When he ran out of the enzymes, he began to have the stomach acid back up into his throat again. I gave him a less potent product of the same line (remember, the high-count stuff was out of stock again, so the dose was six tabs instead of two) and it was not as effective, probably because he was less willing to take the six tab dose.
I take enzymes after particularly heavy meals, and receive relief. Another case example of enzyme use is specific milk enzymes for lactose-intolerance, in which the body does not itself produce milk-digesting enzymes. This allows lactose-intolerant individuals to ingest milk products.
There is a Swanson enzyme product which is so effective, that you should only take one. Two different persons took two and became nauseus, which apparently indicates that you took too much for the job, IDK why. (re: Dr. Hulda Clark)
Do you know the cause of the issue.
