She was Indian until the Joe opened up the VP spot opened up for a "Black Woman". She decided she was no longer the first Indian Senator, but actually a "Black Woman Senator" and eligible for the opening. She is a scheming leftist who trades on whatever diversity slot it is that gets her ahead. If not for that her heritage would be irrelevant.
