Three case shells were found left of his body and five cases were found right of his body when he was killed.

As the cases eject out the right side of the gun, he had to be left of all the cases when he shot the first three shots.

He was further left (his left) when he fired the first three shoots and then moved (to his right) passed the first three shells and then fired his last five shots.

Or some of the cases were planted by the feds after the local cops left the scene having only found 5 cases.
