BH is speculating about the weapon from photos, I believe. I’m familiar enough with his work to have confidence in his assessment.

Nobody will ever know what sight picture the shooter had, or where he was aiming. As jacked up as he likely was on adrenaline, a center-of-mass shot gives the best hit probability. Could have been attempting a head shot, and DJT moved, or he could have been attempting a shot at DJT’s upper torso, and pulled it.
