Shoot for one or two poops a day.

Psyllium, followed by other soluble and insoluble fibers, will help, but try to get more exercise, too.

I think most everyone should take a fiber supplement, almost no one eats enough fiber, it’s almost impossible to eat as much as we need daily. I pop a few of the off brand Metamucil psyillium pills almost everyday. Works like a charm. As a bonus it also reduces cholesterol.

I tend towards constipation, so take psyllium and also have some kimchi in the morning.

You can still eat meat, but go for veggies as your side dish instead of rice, potatoes, or pasta.

I take psyllium pills 4-5 days a week and it seems to firm up my stool. I was having trouble, frankly, with real loose stools. They seem to help and I’m on the throne usually twice a day or even more depending.

Related but not completely on topic, I’ll put in an endorsement here for the bidet toilet seats. I bought one at Costco early in Covid and was an instant convert. I now cannot imagine living without one, and find it mildly annoying living without when we go on vacation.

Makes sense but how do you “dodo” regularly?

It seems a mystery despite reading lots of theories my body more or less goes when it wants to.

I have noticed a few factors that seem to help me:

Hydrate
Peanuts
Fresh vegetables
Exercise/physical work

But especially this last one works almost every time (so well a few times I had to go in someone’s woods..sorry unknown dude or dudette):
After not going for a day or 2 go eat at hot Buffett but STUFF yourself, I mean up to you lower throat level almost.

THEN get in car and drive home (or where ever) on a rough road so you get bounced up and down for about 30 minutes.
