Donald Trump has ignited alarm among his critics after telling a crowd of supporters that they won’t “have to vote again” if they return him to the presidency in November’s election.
“Christians, get out and vote! Just this time – you won’t have to do it any more,” the Republican former president said on Friday night at a rally hosted in West Palm Beach, Florida, by the far-right advocacy group Turning Point Action.
“You know what? It’ll be fixed! It’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote any more, my beautiful Christians.”
At that point, with a slight shake of his head and his right hand pressed against the left side of his chest, Trump said, “I’m not Christian.” But he added: “I love you. Get out – you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.”
Trump’s remarks were immediately met with consternation in some political quarters.
The constitutional and civil rights attorney Andrew Seidel, for instance, replied to video of Trump’s comments circulating on X by writing: “This is not subtle Christian nationalism. He’s talking about ending our democracy and installing a Christian nation.”

Yeah, I listened to it a few times and it’s slightly indiscernible but you are correct. Listening to the whole thing, there is no context needed, he said exactly what he meant. The left will twist it, which is fair, the right do the same thing...
IDK. With Kamala in the mix the world is turned upside down. Least qualified DEI pick.
There may be a record gender gap, which I think Vance is making worse with his comments on abortion and childless women. This is not what we want to be talking about.
I think that is leftist gaslighting. In any case it does no good to try and pander.
I’ll agree too disagree because I think Vance is saying things that need to be said and not swept under the carpet. Trump team will win no votes from the abortion worshippers no matter what Vance says.
Hmmm….
At 3;20, you wrote - I do NOT believe he said “not”.
Then, a brief 18 minutes later, you write - He said “I’m a Christian” you deaf MORON.
Finally, 6 minutes later, after some syntax trying to argue your point theoretically, you wrote - I’ve listened to it sores of times and he definitely says “I’m a Christian”.
So, what is it? Do you “believe” he didn’t say that, or are you stating, definitively, he didn’t say it?
At worst, Trump was tongue-tied. He gave the enemy ammo. Unforced errors can’t happen when this election will likely be settled by less than 100,000 votes.
That verbal accident is the least of Trump’s self-inflicted wound. I *think* he was trying to say, if he’s elected he’ll fix the corruption or bring about a Reagan-like change of heart such that the Good Guys will always win because 1) it’ll always be a fair election and 2) goodness triumphs evil forever.

I hope that helps and I look forward to your reply.
Which nevertheless describes a certain class of persons, which are describes as being believers in the risen Lord God Jesus, and opposed by those who are not.
Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? (James 2:7)
The Left will say this means dictatorship.
You win the thread! Good one!
I don’t believe we should think about not voting in the future, because that’s just not the American way. Not sure if Trump meant that exactly as it sounded. Sometimes he says a lot of things that are not immediately explained, but that’s better than doing it the Democrat way. We’ve already seen how Trump ran things in the past, & more recently how the Democrats mean to run things. There are a lot of uncertainties in this life, but let’s not vote Democrat & make it worse than it needs to be.
